Junee Shire Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified consultants with experience in modelling and analysis to develop a detailed Flood Study for Bethungra and Wantabadgery.

This project involves conducting a flood study, which is a comprehensive technical investigation of flood behaviour that provides the main technical foundation for the development of a robust flood risk management plan.

The objectives include assessing property flood risk, quantifying potential damage, and providing technical insights for the Council to prepare the Bethungra and Wantabadgery Flood Study. Additionally, the study seeks to develop a modelling system suitable for evaluating flood mitigation measures and future development plans within the area.

Services requested are:

• Lidar Survey

• Digital Elevation Model

• Hydrologic Modelling

• Hydrologic Modelling

• Flood Damages model and assessment

• Progress Reports

The successful Consultant will have extensive experience delivering similar studies and projects, cultural awareness, and knowledge of systems and procedures to lead the implementation of best practices in work methods and processes to comply with quality assurance standards. The Consultant is expected to collaborate with Council to deliver the required outcomes by 18th December 2026.

All works are to be carried out following the Technical Project Brief and comply with current NSW Regulations for Work Health and Safety. The successful Contractor shall be required to hold and maintain suitable Public Liability insurance, workers compensation insurance, and all other relevant insurances.

Junee Shire Council reserves the right to reduce or increase the scope of works prior to commencement, and during the works/financial year to meet budgetary obligations.
