Tender Description
Parents and carers of children under five years old who are not enrolled in Transition or school can apply for two $100 Learn to Swim vouchers each year — one in January and one in July — to help cover the cost of swimming lessons with a registered provider in the Northern Territory. Children are eligible for a maximum of two $100 vouchers (either Learn to Swim or Sport Voucher) per financial year.
Children must be registered in the Water Safety Awareness Program through Royal Life Saving NT before applying. Vouchers are managed electronically via GrantsNT and must be used with approved Activity Providers. Only one voucher type can be claimed per child per semester.
How to apply
Follow these steps to get and use a Learn to Swim voucher for your child.
Your child must be registered in the Water Safety Awareness Program (WSAP) through Royal Life Saving NT before you apply for a Learn to Swim voucher.

Step 1: Register for the Water Safety Awareness Program
If your child is not yet registered, complete the WSAP registration first. If already registered, have your WSAP voucher number ready.
Step 2: Apply through GrantsNT
- Go to GrantsNT and log in or register for an account.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Apply Now"
- Complete the application form with your child’s details.
- Confirm all information is correct and submit the application.
- You’ll receive a confirmation email with your voucher once approved.
Step 3: Book Swimming Lessons
- Find a registered Learn to Swim Activity Provider.
- Book your child’s lessons using the voucher with your chosen provider.
