The Office of Responsible Gambling (the Office) is running an open Request For Tender (RFT) for service providers for the ten GambleAware regions in NSW, from 1 July 2026.

Project goals

The Office of Responsible Gambling (the Office) is running an open Request For Tender (RFT) for service providers for the ten GambleAware regions in NSW, over a 5-year contract (3 years fixed + 1 x 2-year option) period, from 1 July 2026 – 30 June 2031.

GambleAware providers will be funded to deliver free and confidential gambling and financial counselling in regions across NSW. Support must be available for all people affected by gambling harm, face-to-face, online, and by phone. Providers must also offer peer support and deliver community engagement activities.

Each provider will lead service delivery in their region and ensure support is accessible to everyone, including people from Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Providers will do this through direct service provision and through sub-contracting arrangements.

Scope

Providers can select to bid for one or more of the GambleAware regions:

1. GambleAware Blue Mountains & Western Sydney

2. GambleAware Central Sydney

3. GambleAware Far & Western NSW

4. GambleAware Hunter New England

5. GambleAware Illawarra & Southern NSW

6. GambleAware Mid & Northern NSW

7. GambleAware Murrumbidgee

8. GambleAware Northern Sydney & Central Coast

9. GambleAware South Eastern Sydney

10. GambleAware South Western Sydney

A tenderer briefing will be held on the date, time, and place, indicated below.

• Time: 10am
• Location: Online via Teams

The Office of Responsible Gambling will be available at this time to answer any queries regarding this RFT and the tender process generally.

Names of persons attending the tenderer briefing must be emailed to kay.smith@responsiblegambling.nsw.gov.au at least 3 working days prior to the date.

No more than 2 persons from each tenderer will be permitted to attend the tenderer briefing.
