Each year, the City's Major Events and Festivals team delivers Sydney Lunar Festival in Haymarket.

Sydney Lunar Festival has grown to become one of the largest celebrations of the Lunar New Year outside of Asia. The festival started in 1995 as a community street market and has developed to include an opening event called Sydney Lunar Streets, a participatory and community performance program and over 80 associated events.

The City produces the festival, maintains all event owner responsibilities, whilst working alongside community stakeholders to produce a culturally engaged, relevant program.

In this regard, the City of Sydney seeks a culturally appropriate service provider to assist in the development of the performance program and to manage a range of performances across a variety of locations and audiences throughout the City of Sydney Local Government Area
