Norfolk Island Regional Council invites Expressions of Interest to agist horse/s in one or more of the following areas:

• Portion 26w known as 'Poppa's paddock', New Cascade Road
• Portion 183 (an area in DCA Circle) - known as DCA2, DCA4 and DCA5
• Portion 183 (area on Ben Christian Drive) - known as Area B
• Portion 183 Ferny Lane (area at the end of paddock at Ferny Lane / New Farm Road intersection
• Portion 174a Douglas Drive.

The term of the proposed leases will be up to three (3) years, renewable annually provided the lease conditions have been fully complied with. The agistment fee is to be paid six (6) monthly in advance. The lessee will be required to:

• Provide and maintain all fencing so that it will contain the agisted horse/sat all times
• If the area is not already fenced with barbed wire and posts, erect electric fencing comprising at least three strands of electric wire
• In the airport areas, erect and maintain fencing as specified by the Airport Manager
• (Note: airport airside primary boundary fencing will be erected and maintained by NI Airport)
• Slash the area at least once a year
• Provide and maintain a water supply
• Ensure horse/s enclosed on the leased area have sufficient feed: providing feed if necessary
• Maintain the area in a clean and tidy condition which is to be free of any noxious weeds
• Provide $10 million public liability insurance

Tenderers should make their own enquiries as to the suitability of the land for the intended purpose. Expressions of interest should provide the annual fee proposed to be paid for each area required for horse/s.
