Provision of Confidential Waste Management Services for WA Country Health Services Midwest.

The Requirement

WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Midwest requires the Provision of Confidential Waste Management Services for WA Country Health Services Midwest. The service required includes the supply, delivery and collection of 240L transportable bins for secure storage of confidential paper waste, as well as the secure destruction and shredding of the contents in each bin and recycling of the destroyed paper by-product.

Bin Type

The 240L transportable bins must be lockable and tamper-resistant, featuring an opening that allows confidential documents to be securely deposited without requiring the bin to be unlocked. The deposit slot must be designed to ensure security, remaining small enough to prevent unauthorised access to its contents without unlocking the bin.

Additionally, the contents must be securely destroyed within a specified timeframe, ensuring compliance with confidentiality protocols and regulatory requirements. Respondents must specify in their submission the timeframe within which confidential waste will be securely destroyed following collection.

Bin Requirements and Frequency of Service

The estimated number of bins required per delivery at each site are noted below however this varies and must allow for flexibility to adjust - either increasing or decreasing based on demand. Additional bins and services shall be supplied when required at the applicable contract rate.

Over the past 12 months, approximately 330 secure document bins (240L each) were utilised across Midwest sites.

There shall be no additional charges for scheduled Services that fall on a weekend or Public Holiday. The successful Respondent shall make alternative arrangements for collections that fall on these days and advise the Customer accordingly.
