The objective of the Western Riverina Stormwater and Wastewater Management Strategy and incorporated Action Plan is to conduct a detailed analysis of the Leeton Shire, Narrandera Shire, Griffith City and Murrumbidgee Local Government Areas existing management of stormwater and wastewater, including current procedures and system capabilities.

The strategy will identify strengths, challenges and opportunities for re-purposing water and/or water saving measures.

The incorporated Action plan will identify actionable items to implement the Strategy and Action Plan by each Council.

The final plan must be completed including draft to councils, 28-day public exhibition and adoptions by councils by 28 November 2025.

The Western Riverina consortium consists of Leeton Shire, Narrandera Shire, Griffith City and Murrumbidgee Councils which are all located in Riverina NSW.
