Tender Description

ABOUT THE COUNCIL: Ku-ring-gai Council is a Local Government Area in the North Shore region of Sydney. The Ku-ring-gai Council area includes the suburbs of East Killara, East Lindfield, Gordon, Killara, Lindfield, North Turramurra, North Wahroonga, Pymble, Roseville (part), Roseville Chase, South Turramurra, St Ives, St Ives Chase, Turramurra, Wahroonga (part), Warrawee and West Pymble.

ABOUT THE TENDER: The tender objective is to engage a suitably experienced tenderers to deliver bus shelter advertising, maintenance and cleaning under a new commercial contract on terms set out in the RFT.

The successful tenderer must deliver the following services in accordance with the requirements of the draft Contract.

  •  Supply, Install, and maintain Advertising Assets (including any required modification of the bus shelter)
  •  Maintain the Supplier Bus Shelters
  •  Advertising Campaign Management including optimising Advertising Revenue
  •  Provide Council advertising space allocation
  •  Minimise Council's exposure to risk

While Council owns hundreds of bus shelters comprising brick and lightweight construction, this RFT is primarily concerned with contract arrangements pertaining to the existing 47 Lightweight Bus Shelters within the Ku-ring-gai LGA.

The provision of bus shelters is important in meeting the needs and requirements of the community by facilitating pedestrian safety, movement, comfort and accessibility for bus transportation. To offset the cost of cleaning, maintaining and, if necessary, replacing the shelters should they suffer significant damage, Council will permit advertising on the bus shelters that are approved for advertising.

REGISTRATION: Tender documents must be obtained after registration.

To ensure that all information is received the entity who is submitting the response must be registered and have downloaded the documentation specific to the particular Tender, EOI or RFQ they have responded to in our tenderling portal.

SUBMISSIONS: Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box (preferred) (see option below) using the attached word version of the Schedule. Respondents will receive a Successful Submission Receipt timed and dated upon completion.

 Submissions can also be placed in a sealed envelope and endorsed with the tender title, number, and closing date, and placed in the Tender Box located in the foyer (level 4) of Council Chambers, 818 pacific Highway Gordon 2072 by the nominated time and date.

CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Tenders close at 2.00pm on Tuesday the 5 August 2025 and submissions must be fully received by this time. The Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. Council staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the Tender. Late, verbal, faxed or emailed proposals will not be accepted.
