Mid-Western Regional Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Heritage Advisor to provide expert heritage advice across a range of statutory and strategic planning matters.

The Heritage Advisor will support Council’s ongoing commitment to conserving the region’s cultural and built heritage by advising on development applications, participating in pre-lodgement discussions, assessing proposed works by Council’s Operations teams, and contributing to the Local Heritage Grants Program.

The role also includes input into strategic land use planning projects and preparation of relevant documentation such as statements of significance or heritage impact.

This is a key advisory position that plays an important role in helping Council meet its legislative obligations, protect heritage assets, and ensure quality outcomes for the community.
