Animal Management Services

The Contractor must provide to the Council, for the benefit of the Council's community, an effective Animal seizure and impounding service and collect Companion Animals and remove both Small Dead Animals and Large Dead Animals from Public Places in response to requests from the Council. Such services must be provided:

a) in accordance with the provisions of the Companion Animals Act 1998 (NSW) and any regulations under that Act, the Public Spaces (Unattended Property) Act 2021(NSW) and any regulations under that Act and any adopted Council Policy, Code or Procedure as may apply from time to time and any other legislation which applies now or in the future in relation to the subject matter of this Contract;

b) in a courteous and professional manner at all times in accordance with this specification; and

c) ensuring that all care is taken in relation to the collection, seizure and impounding of Animals so as to reduce the possibility of injury, transmission of disease to such Animals and damage to property and persons.
