Main Building/ Fencing Contractor for LSM Fencing, Gates & Site Works at Newbury School

The Board of Trustees for Newbury School is seeking a suitably qualified Main Building/Fencing Contractor to carry out the Learning Support Modifications Fencing, Gates & Site Works Project.

Supply and Install of fencing components (as per attached design) – No foot holes, steps, or horizontal bars that facilitate climbing (distance between structural horizontal beams to be at least 1200mm apart) or structures within 1m of the fence that facilitate climbing. Fence work reaches down to the ground, leaving no gaps (maximum 100mm). Minimum height 1800mm with no exposed points at the top. Gates with safety latches situated approximately 1600mm from ground level or higher. Gates to be fitted with auto-closing mechanisms. New fencing is a mix of powder-coated galvanised & aluminium fencing, including pedestrian, accessible, and vehicle gates. Some ground works, including relocating items, removal of the water tank, and the drainage grating also required.

All work to comply with the manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations.

Ideally, dependent on MoE funding approval, this work would start as soon as possible after confirmation is provided; however, this will be discussed with the successful contractor and school once funding approvals are confirmed.
