Tender Description
The Riverina and Murray Joint Organisation (RAMJO), representing nine councils in NSW and funded through the Disaster Ready Fund Round 2, invites suitably qualified and experienced persons to submit a Response for the delivery of strategic land use planning maturity assessments and prioritised action plans for nine councils.
RAMJO seeks a suitably qualified Tenderer to:
-- develop/adapt a Land Use Planning Maturity Assessment framework that incorporates the DPHI Planning Considerations Checklist from the Handbook for the Strategic Guide to Planning for Natural Hazards;
-- conduct Land Use Planning Maturity Assessments of Councils' strategic land use planning documents;
-- complete Land Use Planning Action Plans based on the maturity assessments and the completion of DPHI Planning Considerations Checklists for each Council; and,
-- complete a regional opportunities report that identifies common strategic land use planning needs and priorities across the region to provide councils with:
1) a greater understanding of what is required to adopt an informed, risk-based approach to land use planning that integrates natural hazard resilience and climate change projections; and,
2) prioritised action plans that can be implemented to integrate an all hazards, risk-based approach to land use planning that increases resilience to natural hazards, minimises the creation of new risk and addresses legacy risk, and facilitates other development processes within council as per the project objectives, deliverables and milestones described within the specifications for this instrument.
