Tender Description
Nhulunbuy Corporation Limited ("NCL") invites tenders from appropriately qualified persons for the construction of an Inclusive Playground at the site of the current playground, located within part of Lot 488, 6 Banyan Road, Nhulunbuy ("the Site").
As part of this Request, Tenderers are invited to supply their own designs for the construction and delivery of the inclusive playground.
NCL is only funded in the amount of $600,000 plus GST. All work associated with this project, including all commissioning and decommissioning, must be within that cost. No allowances will be made under the Agreement for increases.
Tenderers' designs must include at least the following features:
- The playground must be an Inclusive Playground and compliant with Australian Standards and the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
- All structures must be cyclone-rated.
- All structures must be suited to tropical, salty conditions that are prone to rust.
- All structures must be installed on rubber soft fall surfacing.
Tenderers will also be required to provide a separate price to dismantle the existing playground installation at the Site, and all such dismantling work must be included within the price. NCL will arrange for the disposal of the decommissioned installation at NCL's cost.
Aerial imagery of the Site and the existing playground installation is enclosed with this Request for Tender in Section E of this Request for Tender.
