Tender Description

Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from service providers to deliver outreach services from a new consulting room within the Burwood Library & Community Hub

About this opportunity

Are you looking for an accessible consulting space in Burwood to deliver community outreach services?

Located in Burwood Library and Community Hub, our new Outreach Consulting Room offers a private office, available at no cost for eligible not-for-profit organisations providing free community services.

EOIs are open to incorporated, not-for-profit community service providers only.

Successful organisations will be granted shared access to the office for a 12-month period, from July 2025 to June 2026. EOIs will be undertaken annually.

About the Space

The Outreach Consulting Room is a self-contained, private room (approx. 10m²) located near the Community Lounge on the first floor of the Community Hub. The space includes:

  • 1 table and 4 chairs
  • 1 twin port power point
  • Access to free library Wi-Fi

Note: Printing and photocopying is available (for a small fee) using a Library membership card. Credit can be added to your account as needed.

Access will be via PIN access, valid for the allocated days and times.

You will need to bring your own laptop and other equipment.

The Outreach Office is suitable for one-on-one support, casework, or small meetings (up to 4 people).

Selection Process

EOIs will be assessed by a panel of staff from Council’s Community Life team. You may be contacted for more information about your service or to clarify your service needs.

Successful applicants will be notified in late June/early July and must complete a site induction before service delivery can commence.

Selection Criteria:

  • Fills a local service gap or meets a priority community need
  • Service is free for the community
  • Service is accessible to Burwood LGA residents (noting any eligibility requirements)
  • Demonstrates clear community benefit and positive impact for Burwood LGA residents

Note: Access to the space beyond this period is not guaranteed, as Council will conduct an annual Expression of Interest (EOI) process to determine future use.

Service Providers will be required to:

  • sign an Agreement outlining the terms and conditions of use,
  • submit a brief report to Council every six months with some basic statistics, demographic information, and a short summary of outcomes, referrals, or service impact.

Operating Hours

Use of the space will be shared with other outreach providers on a rostered basis.

Access to the space will only be provided during Library opening hours, which are:

  • Monday 9.30am-5pm
  • Tuesday 9.30am-8pm
  • Wednesday 9.30am-6pm
  • Thursday 9.30am-8pm
