Request for Proposal Biosolids Landfill Options Assessment (BLOA)

Watercare Services Limited has commenced the Biosolids Servicing Project (BSP) with the objective of commissioning a resilient servicing solution for 175,000Tpa of biosolids from 2035. The primary form of servicing may be a landfill, an incinerator, and/or land application. This RFP relates to professional services to support a Biosolids Landfill Options Assessment (BLOA) and includes:

• Developing a generic landfill option

• Site screening

• Options assessment

• Provide the technical inputs to a MCA (developed separately)

• High level site-specific design to achieve a P50 cost estimate.

Site-specific landfill option(s) will be compared to other servicing options (e.g. incineration, land application) to select a preferred biosolids servicing solution. To provide independence between the biosolids servicing options being considered, Watercare intends to appoint different consultants for each of the servicing options.
