Mylestom Tidal Pool - Restoration Works
Tender ID: 587471
Tender Details
Tender Description
Bellingen Shire Council is the Asset Owner of the Mylestom Tidal Pool, and Crown Land Manager of the adjacent Alma Doepel Park and Public Reserve in 2454 Mylestom. The Tidal Pool is Bellingen Shire’s flagship waterway asset, serving as both a protected swimming enclosure and essential small watercraft infrastructure for safe launching, secure tie-off, and sheltered mooring for kayakers, fishers, and other recreational boaters.
Due to the age, inter-tidal exposure and ongoing flooding, Council has identified multiple risks associated with the Tidal Pool that posae substantial safety and environmental concerns.
The scope of the tender is to provide lump sum pricing for the proposed restoration work on the Tidal Pool to improve the amenity and usability of the tidal pool, the introduction of measures that will help resist damage from future flooding as well as ensuring the long-term integrity and functionality of the structure.
The project has a tight timeline, tight reporting schedules, and funding constraints. Compliance with timeframes will be a key selection criterion, along with capability, relevant experience, and project understanding.
Works are planned to commence in September 2025 and completed by mid-December 2025.
