The Dunedin City Council (‘the Council’) gives notice of a ‘Request for Proposal’ (RFP) seeking Proposals from experienced and innovative food and beverage hospitality providers with the necessary experience, resources and values that align with the Dunedin Botanic Garden (“Botanic Garden”) and can cater to a diverse audience and can manage the establishment and operation of a new café experience at the Botanic Garden under a 10-year lease.

The Botanic Garden café is one of Dunedin’s premiere visitor sites, located in a prime position within Dunedin’s internationally renowned Dunedin Botanic Garden, which provides a year-round destination for tourists, families, students and others. The café facility is the only permanent food and beverage outlet within the Botanic Garden, just an 8 minute drive north of the Octagon.

The Council invites proposals that can show the necessary vision, energy, experience and resources to provide a high standard of service that will enhance the visitor experience of the Botanic Garden. Council is open to proposals that offer more than the standard café experience which may entail innovation in café layout, delivery of service, food offering etc.
