Background
About evokeᴬᴳ⋅
In February 2019, AgriFutures Australia launched evokeᴬᴳ⋅ – an international agrifood tech event that brings the world’s brightest agriculture, technology, and investment minds together to help shape the future of Australia and the region’s food and fibre industries. The success of the 2019 event peaked interest in the agrifood tech sector, resulting in approaches to AgriFutures Australia to host the 2021, 2022 and 2024 events.
Building on this momentum, evokeᴬᴳ⋅ continued to grow, with the 2025 event taking place on February 18 – 19 in Brisbane, Queensland. This year’s theme, “Common Ground,” invited the agrifood tech and innovation community to come together, fostering collaboration and addressing universal challenges. evokeᴬᴳ⋅ 2025 was the largest event yet:
- 1,957 delegates from over 25 countries
- Over 2,000 attendees including media and crew
- Featured 40 startups in Startup Alley, 16 from overseas
- Included 12 scaleups in Scaleup Station, all Startup Alley Alumni
- 344 delegates identified as primary producers (17.5% of total delegates)
- 201 international attendees from 25 countries. These included delegates, startups, scale-ups, partners, and speakers
- Delegations from New Zealand, Canada, China, Singapore, Vietnam, UK, Israel, and Taiwan
- 57 sideline events including symposiums/conferences, networking events, showcases, tours, and pitch events.
- Sideline events showcased agriculture across Queensland, highlighting the state’s agricultural innovation and regional strengths.
- Drive regional economic activity and tourism
- Attract global investment and talent
- Showcase government initiatives and innovation programs
- Strengthen international partnerships and trade relationships
- Support the growth of local agritech and research sectors.
- Industry Showcase: Drive opportunities to display dynamic industry showcase experiences to delegates, particularly working with international delegations to curate tours and an immersive experience into the best your region has to offer in a particular geographical location.
- Corporate Partnerships: Opportunities with corporates and Government to contribute to event content and financial partnerships.
- Hosting: Hold relationships with accommodation and hospitality providers to assist in facilitating the overall delegate experience; enhance networking opportunities and connect delegates with relevant industry contacts during their time in your city.

- Official Program (including sustainability elements, proposed host city and venue, and any other destination information that you feel may be relevant (i.e. tourism, technical tours, local destinations, potential site visits, etc.)
- Food and Beverage (daily morning, afternoon tea and hot lunch to 2,000 delegates and a further 100 staff, volunteers and production crew; essential to include innovative local and regional produce throughout the catering experiences)
- Venue Capacity and Size (theatre, breakout rooms, ‘Festival of Food’ standing space, and exhibition/networking hub – prospective venues should have at a minimum 6,000 square metres gross of space exclusively dedicated for the latter)
- Registration Area (standard registration services for 2,000 attendees as well as room for luggage storage)
- Media Centre (space for media interviews, podcast recordings and an edit suite where local and international press as well as the onsite evokeᴬᴳ⋅ social media and content team can work)
- Audiovisual (professional equipment for theatre, breakout rooms, recording of sessions, and exhibition/networking hub)
- Hotels and Accommodation (ideally, a minimum number of 1,000 hotel rooms should be available within 10 minutes walking distance across 3, 4 and 5-star facilities)
- General Venue Access and Airport Accessibility (ideally, access to the event venue and chosen hotels should be easy from a major domestic and international airport).
- Submit their response in PDF format.
- Address the selection criteria (outlined in the section above)
- Provide a high-level estimate of venue hire costs (detailed venue quotations are not required at this stage).
- Confirm the availability of suitable spaces for the proposed event dates, including access for bump-in three days prior and bump-out one day after the event.

Terms of reference
AgriFutures Australia uses standard form contracts and agreements for projects and research procured by AgriFutures Australia. These contracts and agreements set out the terms on which AgriFutures Australia will engage successful applicants to carry out the project. Applicants must be familiar with the contracts and agreements before submitting a response and are advised to seek legal advice beforehand. These contracts and agreements have been developed to reflect AgriFutures Australia’s statutory and other procurement responsibilities.

If you require any amendments to the standard agreement, please complete the statement of non-compliance for each of the relevant clause. AgriFutures will then assess those requests.
Applicants will be taken to have agreed to all clauses in the Research Agreement that are not referred to in a statement of non-compliance. The extent of any non-compliance will be a factor in AgriFutures Australia’s evaluation of the application.
