Main Contractor for Blocks A, B, D Roof Overlays and K, M, J Reroofing

The Ministry of Education is seeking the services of a main contractor to undertake roof overlay works across several blocks at Naenae Intermediate School, as described in the tender documents. Some works will be subject to building consent (e.g. re-pitching), while others will fall under like-for-like replacement or minor upgrades.

This is a medium-scale project involving multiple buildings, requiring careful planning to minimise disruption to school operations and to align with a staged delivery programme.

Key considerations for this project include:

• Careful planning of site access, scaffolding, and safety provisions.
•  Coordination with other ongoing or upcoming projects at the school

The work must be planned to ensure an indicative start in September/October and completion by approximately March/April 2026 (subject for change). Timely coordination of material deliveries, labour resources, and construction activities will be essential.

The works are to be delivered with a focus on quality, efficiency, and constructability. The successful contractor will need to demonstrate strong construction management capabilities, effective communication, and a proactive approach to sequencing, health and safety, and programme delivery.
