Tender Description

Main Roads Western Australia - Unit 2, 36 Federick Street, Broome - Fit Out. 

SCOPE OF WORKS

Carry out all sanitary plumbing, hot water, cold water, property sewerage and stack work drainage as shown on the drawings, specified or as required to complete the work to the satisfaction of the Superintendent Representatives and the relevant authorities having jurisdiction.

The work in the Hydraulics Services contract includes the furnishing of all materials, products, accessories, tools, equipment, services, scaffolding, ladders, transportation, supervision, labour and other items which may not be mentioned but are necessary for the fabrication and completion of the Hydraulic Services installation.

  • Inspect the site, ascertain and include for all on site conditions. Allow to undertake hydrostatic testing of water and sewer services that are to be retained prior to commencing new portion of works. Advise client if any test does not pass.
  • Provide and install all sanitary plumbing including vents, sanitary fixtures and all necessary cleaning and inspection openings positioned as required in all discharge pipes & drains.
  • Provide and install all property sewerage including vents, clean out points, traps, and inspection openings to connect into the new property sewer drainage system in locations indicated on the drawings.
  • Provide and install all potable water services including taps, outlets, valves, valve boxes, branches and connections to fixtures and equipment.
  • Provide and install hot water services including hot water units, service lines, isolating valves, tempering and thermostatic mixing valves, general valve trains associated with hot water units and connections to fixtures and equipment.
  • Provide and install all temporary services as required during the construction of the works to enable the construction works to continue uninterrupted.
  • Provide and install mechanical services insulated drains to all air-conditioning and ancillary equipment
  • Provide and install 90-minute fire rating material on all penetrations through firewalls. Ensure integrity of fire compartment is maintained.
  • Coordination with but not limited to Electrical and Mechanical sub-contractors to ensure all services have required power supplies and connections and final connection is made and drains, and water points are provided in correct locations.
  • Make allowance for staged works and refer to Architectural documentation for staging plans. Temporary services are to be provided to keep all the building live as required to during the staged construction.
  • Drilling of holes through floors, walls and fire stop sealing thereafter.
  • Concrete cutting and reinstatement of concrete slab where new in ground service routes are required
  • Signage and Painting
  • Provide and install access panels as required in accordance with AS3500
  • Commissioning to manufacturers requirements
  • Comprehensive Operating and Maintenance Manuals
  • Comprehensive maintenance contracts for all appliance, plant, pumping systems and industrial waste systems
  • All excavation, trenching, backfilling, dewatering and compaction
  • Making application, paying all fees and charges to the relevant authorities so that the works may proceed and be satisfactorily completed

SCOPE OF WORK – STRUCTURAL STEEL

The work covered in this Specification consists of:

- The supply of materials and fabrication of structural steel components for the Works, as shown and described on the project drawings and in this Specification.

- The supply of all associated welding consumables and bolted connection components for both in shop and on-site assembly of the Works.

- Shop detailing documentation.

- Surface preparation.

- Corrosion protection, including touch-up repairs.

- Handling and storage of all materials and components.

- Loading and transportation of fabricated components to the job site.

- Erection of the components and assemblies on site.

- Fixing of adjoining building elements connected to or supported on the structural steel.

- The quality control of all materials, components, assemblies and processes associated with the scope of work.

- The compliance management of all materials, components and finished assemblies associated with the scope of the work.

To ascertain the scope of work the specification will be read in conjunction with the drawings. The Architect shall be advised of all discrepancies prior to close of Tenders and all discrepancy adjustments are deemed to have been incorporated into the Tender.
