Brisbane North PHN (the PHN) is inviting tenders from eligible organisations to deliver the Suicide prevention capacity building for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) populations from 1 August 2025.
Suicide prevention capacity building for CALD populations provide the below two activities for CALD populations at a high-risk for suicide and self-harm:
1. A targeted program of suicide prevention capacity building which is to support frontline workers and community leaders to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviours and how to access culturally safe navigation and support services.
2. An early intervention service pathway (pilot) which is to establish a multicultural peer navigation and early intervention service to deliver a culturally safe early intervention suicide prevention service to improve mental wellbeing for CALD adults at risk of suicide.
Brisbane North PHN will fund a Lead Agency to deliver both activities of the Suicide prevention capacity building for CALD populations.

An online sector briefing session will be held for anyone interested in tendering for this service. The session will provide a summary of the Suicide prevention capacity building for culturally and linguistically diverse populations; an outline of the tender process and relevant dates; and an opportunity to ask questions.
The online sector briefing is scheduled for 1.30pm (AEST) on Thursday 12 June 2025. Please use the link on page 11 of the Invitation to Tender to join via Teams. Attendance at the sector briefing is not mandatory. A summary of questions and answers from the briefing will be made available in the tender forum.
