Project goals

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) are pleased to invite local businesses and sole traders to submit expressions of interest for involvement in construction of the Dorrigo Arc Rainforest Centre and Dorrigo Escarpment Great Walk project. This exciting initiative aims to create a world class walking track, Rainforest centre and cultural experiences in the stunning Dorrigo Plateau region.

NPWS wish to develop a register of service providers and individuals for consideration during the construction phases of the Dorrigo Escarpment Great Walk project. Noting that procurement for work packages will be undertaken in accordance with the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework.

This EOI process aims to connect the tenderer (prospective Principal Contractor/s), with local skilled and interested businesses and sole traders looking for a subcontracting opportunity. If you choose to register, your information will be shared with tenderers (prospective Principal Contractors) during the tender phase. There is no obligation for Head Contractors to utilise this list, however it will be supplied to encourage local content in these projects.

Scope

Expressions of interest are sought from registered local businesses and sole traders whose ABN is registered to an address in any of the following local government areas:

• Armidale Regional
• Bellingen
• Coffs Harbour
• Clarence Valley
• Glen Innes-Severn
• Kempsey
• Nambucca Valley
• Port Macquarie-Hastings

Local businesses and sole traders could participate in the following:

• Walking track building services

We invite local businesses and contractors with experience in track building and landscape construction to register for the Dorrigo Escarpment Great Walk project. This includes expertise in the planning, and construction of remote area walking tracks, particularly in challenging terrain. We encourage local-owned businesses and sole traders to register. This project also offers an opportunity for local businesses and sole traders to work alongside track building teams, obtaining hands-on experience and involvement in the creation of a significant cultural and tourism asset. If you have skills in track building or general labour and would like to contribute to the project, we would love to hear from you.

• Trades

We are also seekign interest from the trades sector who would like to be considered for inclusion in the construction of the Dorrigo Arc Rainforest Centre, which will serve as a hub for visitors and an important cultural space. If you are a qualified tradesperson or business that can provide construction services, we encourage you to register your interest and share details of your expertise.

Supplier Account

All suppliers must have a Supplier account on Supplier Hub to download and lodge responses. To create a Supplier account please go to https://buy.nsw.gov.au/login/signup.

Lodging a response: Click the RESPOND button. Suppliers must submit their response into the buy NSW system before 3pm on the close date. Responses can be submitted and edited multiple times until the opportunity closes, with only the most recent submission being submitted. Once submitted, the tender opportunity will move from ‘In Progress’ to ‘Submitted’ on your Tenders dashboard. A detailed system-generated email will be sent to the registered contact for all successfully received response files, and a notification will appear on your dashboard. Allow at least an hour before the tender closes to complete your submission, upload documents, and contact support if needed.
