The City of Gold Coast is undertaking a review and potential upgrade of its current dog waste management infrastructure. As part of this initiative, the City is seeking information from the market regarding available options for the supply, delivery, installation, and ongoing maintenance of dog waste bags and dispensers. This includes environmentally sustainable solutions that align with the City’s commitment to environmental stewardship and operational efficiency.

The City currently manages approximately 300 dog waste bag dispensers across various public spaces, including coastal and high-humidity environments. The intent of this market engagement is to identify suitable products and service models that can support the City’s operational needs while enhancing user experience and environmental outcomes.

To facilitate a flexible procurement approach, the scope of this engagement is divided into the following separable portions:

• Separable Portion 1 – Supply of dog waste bags

• Separable Portion 2 – Supply of dog waste bag dispensers

• Separable Portion 3 – Supply, installation, maintenance, and servicing of dog waste bags and dispensers

Respondents may submit information for one or more separable portions, depending on their capabilities and offerings.

The City is particularly interested in solutions that are:

• Environmentally sustainable, including compostable dog waste bags that do not leave residual plastic and can withstand long-term storage without degradation.

• Durable and weather-resistant, with dispensers designed for longevity in coastal and humid environments.

• Secure and user-friendly, with features that promote single-bag dispensing, deter vandalism, and allow efficient servicing.

Respondents are encouraged to provide details on any value-added services, such as remote monitoring, automated refill alerts, or full-service maintenance programs.
