The successful contractor will review and update the Brigalow Belt bioregion PBG (a publicly available document). This includes:

• A review of contemporary literature relevant to the Brigalow Belt bioregion PBG, including fire science, fire ecology, climate science and First Nations people and their use of fire in the cultural landscape.

• Undertake a workshop with QPWS&P-identified stakeholders to obtain unpublished, operational knowledge, sources for photos, re-iterate the purpose of PBGs and outline the current process to update.

• Engage with relevant Traditional Owner groups, re-iterate the purpose of the PBGs (with support from QPWS) and outline the current process to update (2x: Once at commencement and in final drafting).

• Incorporate relevant findings into the Brigalow Belt PBG.

• Re-order the information new and old (the current fire vegetation group chapters) of relevance to the Brigalow Belt PBG into chapters that align to 1:5 million BVGs.

• Integrate common bioregion-specific issues, that are not otherwise captured in the Introductory Volume, into relevant BVG chapters.

• Where existing issues are no longer relevant, recommend their deletion and where new issues arise, as relevant to a BVG and fire management, incorporate this new information into the relevant BVG chapters in a manner consistent with the SEQ PBG approach.
