Tender Details
Tender Description
Tenders are invited for the aerial application of liquid or solid mosquito control products, capable of controlling mosquito larvae at various Service locations.
Council has a proactive program to manage mosquitoes. The management program includes regular surveillance and larval treatments of mosquito-prone areas to minimise the public health risks at the source.
This is an extensive, scientifically based, mosquito management program, using a combination of aerial and ground based treatments. This Service requires the aerial application of specific products, which target mosquito larvae in their breeding habitats.
The control program operates year round, however, mosquito activity and subsequent treatments are generally from August through to May. The majority of Services target salt marshes using aerial application. Frequency and size of the Service is dependent on high tides and rainfall events. Scheduling of Services will be as directed by the Contractor Administrator or an authorised delegated authority.
The treatment areas have been identified, with the treatment product/s to be supplied by Council.
