ABOUT THE CITY OF LAKE MACQUARIE: Lake Macquarie is the Hunter Region's largest city, accounting for 35% of the Lower Hunter population. With the city's current population fast approaching 217,000 Lake Macquarie is also the third largest regional city in New South Wales by population. Moreover, the city's population is expected to grow by 39,000 by 2041, creating a demand for 12,000 new dwellings and associated infrastructure.
ABOUT THE TENDER: Lake Macquarie City Council (the Principal) is seeking tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced organisations for the construction of a retaining wall and associated works at Beach Road, Wangi Wangi. These works form Stage 1 of a broader landslip remediation project initiated in response to significant storm damage in 2022.
Stage 1 (contract T03791) involves the construction of a reinforced block retaining wall, founded on bored piles with a reinforced concrete capping beam and passive rock anchors. Associated works include subsoil and stormwater drainage directly related to the retaining wall. The wall is designed to support the reinstatement of the road formation above.

TENDERERS TO NOTE: In the preparation and submission of the Tender and without limiting the Tenderers obligations, the Tenderer shall submit a tender which includes all Schedules including the Tenderer Form Schedule and any other declaration required to be completely filled in and signed, together with any other documents, information and details necessary to make the tender complete. The tenderer shall not submit a tender without a firm intention to proceed nor engage in any form of collusive practice not directly or indirectly canvass support from an elected member or employee of Council at any time.
