The Renmark Paringa Council (Council) is seeking tenders from suitably qualified civil contractors to complete construction of works detailed in Sketch SK01RevA dated 18/05/2025 named Sandbag Option Berth 1-8 (the Services) at the Lock 5 Moorings, located on Lock 5 Road, Paringa.

The lock 5 moorings bank stabilisation project is intended to armour the existing River Murray bank at the site and prevent further erosion damage caused by river vessels and river flows. The project will also provide improved bank access and mooring infrastructure for houseboats mooring in the area. A concept study has been completed for this project and bank stabilisation has been recommended to comprise large sandbags placed along the river’s edge. Houseboat mooring pylons installed on the riverbank is also included in this project works.
