The Sydney Opera House is seeking proposals from leading hospitality operators to join its Outdoor Catering Panel.

Project goals

The Sydney Opera House regularly hosts outdoor events, attracting up to 6,000 attendees. Given the diversity of programming for these events, catering requirements vary significantly. To meet these requirements a panel of pre-qualified operators will be established and engaged on an event-by-event basis.

The aim of this Panel is to engage a group of highly experienced caterers who can meet the expectations of Sydney Opera House’s visitors by:

• Delivering a variety of high-quality food and beverage options fitting for the Sydney Opera House’s brand and status as a world-class performing arts venue
• Complying with all relevant food safety, handling, and liquor licensing regulations
• Demonstrating a clear understanding of, and respect for, the Sydney Opera House’s heritage values and operational requirements
• Meeting the government’s economical, ethical, environmental and social priorities
