Wellsite management, engineering & procurement services for a well flow testing and P&A Project in the Darling Basin, for 3 existing wells. Provide planning, procurement, co-ordination, supervision.

Project goals

The Geological Survey of NSW seeks wellsite management, engineering, technical and procurement support services for a Project consisting of well completion, flow testing, plug and abandonment and site rehabilitation of 3 existing wells in the Darling Basin.

These services are needed to provide overall offsite and onsite planning, procurement, co-ordination, supervision, reporting and delivery of the well completion, flow test and plug and abandonment programs, and subsequent site rehabilitation.

The Project aims to better understand the regional geology and reservoir characteristics of certain formations in the Pondie Range and Yathong Troughs of the Darling Basin, by addressing key knowledge gaps in geological structure, stratigraphy, reservoir properties, and hydrogeology. This work will provide valuable data for the Geological Survey of NSW to refine geological models and inform future resource assessments and other studies.

The Project will consist of three main activities:

1. Well completion and flow testing, inclusive of cased hole wireline logging, of up to three existing wells, to gather Cement Bond Logging (CBL), temperature, flow rate, permeability, pressure and fluid property data.
2. Well plug and abandonment of three wells, in accordance with industry best practice and relevant NSW Exploration Codes of Practice.
3. Well site rehabilitation of three well sites, in accordance with land access agreements and relevant NSW Exploration Codes of Practice.

Scope

- Provide personnel to fill the roles Wellsite manager, company person, completion engineer, HSE advisor & Mine Operator.

- Assist with the procurement & contracting of services required to complete the Project, including provision of specifications and technical scope for tenders. Provide list of suitable suppliers and assist with evaluation of submissions & contract negotiations.

- Assist with preliminary project planning, including engineering & design, development of project schedule, costs, HSE plans. Plan/manage site preparation, finalise detailed flow test plans & completions design, undertake planning to mobilise workover rig & services, equipment, materials & personnel to site.

- Provide Authority for Expenditure & budgetary scoping, monitor & report project costs, audit of invoices for the Project.

- Provide additional goods & services for the Project, including inspections of workover rig & completions equipment, satellite link for field communications.

- Operations management & supervision through preparation & execution, fulfilling the role of Principal Contractor on site & managing the onsite/offsite coordination & supervision of all services for the program during site preparation, completion & flow test operations, & site remediation. Responsible for the day-to-day project management, engineering & logistics, ensuring the completion & flow test programs are delivered, HSE quality management, advise on decisions regarding completion & flow test operations.
