Tender Description

Mitchell Shire Council is seeking to procure construction services for the pedestrian crossing located at Windham Street, Wallan.

This project involves the installation of a raised priority crossing on Windham Street to enhance vulnerable road user safety and access. The raised crossing will include:

  • A raised platform to slow vehicles and prioritize pedestrian and cyclists movements
  • Implementation of a 40km/h lower speed zone between Watson St and Queen St
  • Signage and line markings to ensure visibility and compliance
  • Integration with the existing SUP to improve accessibility
  • Drainage improvements as needed to accommodate the raised structure
  • Enhanced lighting for improved safety during low visibility conditions
