Council requires a panel of contractors having materials laboratories accredited by NATA to ISO/IEC 17025 to provide council with materials laboratory testing services.

The materials laboratory services will involve sampling and/or testing of road and/or civil construction materials, in accordance with a test request. The test request will detail the site location, the number of tests to be performed, the test methods to be used and the timeframe of testing required by council’s representative or it’s delegate. Results are to be provided on a NATA accredited test report.

The contractor may be required to pick up and test samples from various regional locations and/or to undertake field sampling and testing at project sites as directed by the principal or the delegated representative. The laboratory testing and field sampling and testing is on an “as required” basis for the items in the price schedule.

• AS1289.0 Methods of Soils for Engineering Purposes

• AS1141.1 Methods for Sampling and Testing Aggregates

• AS1012.0 Methods of Testing Concrete

The objective of this contract is to ensure that roads construction and maintenance activities are verified by reliable and timely NATA accredited materials laboratory services.
