We are seeking a main contractor that is experienced in providing Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) services on complex commercial construction projects to join the project team for the redevelopment of 5–7 Reyburn Street in Whangārei. The successful respondent will work closely with NRC, Argyle, and the wider consultant team during the ECI phase. The redevelopment presents both an exciting opportunity and a number of complexities due to its location, urban context, and design ambition. Given the scale, complexity, and potential risk profile of the project, we see significant value in engaging an experienced commercial main contractor during the ECI phase.

This approach is intended to actively manage and mitigate key risks relating to programme certainty, cost control, buildability, and health and safety. The contractor’s early input will be critical to achieving a robust, practical, and cost-effective design that can be delivered efficiently during construction. Subject to satisfactory performance during the ECI phase and successful agreement of construction pricing and contract terms, it is expected that the same contractor will proceed to deliver the main construction works. Construction works are expected to be upward of $600,000.
