Tender Description
The Department for Environment and Water (DEW) is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers to provide ecological field survey services with the objective to fill strategic data and information gaps on biodiversity values, targeting priority Matters of National Environmental Significance (MNES). Scope is limited to within two pilot areas for a Bioregional Planning project. The purpose of this procurement is to provide DEW data and information to minimum requirements and data standards within the specified timeframes. Survey reporting by contractors will be required.
DEW will incorporate collected data and information into Bioregional Planning outputs such as improved species spatial distribution models and share data and information with the Australian Government Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water (DCCEEW) to inform environmental assessments under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). The work requires expert skills and experience, landholder engagement, compliance with data standards and operational capacity to deliver in the regions within the timeframe.

A briefing session will be held on 2:30 pm 4 June 2025.

You will then be forwarded the calendar invite to an online meeting run on Microsoft Teams. The briefing session will be from 2:30pm-3:30pm.
