Tender Description

The NSW Government is dedicated to upgrading the existing Penrith Stadium to meet the current and future social, recreational, and sporting needs of Western Sydney. The project will encompass the current stadium and the training field facing Mulgoa Road.

A new perimeter fence will enclose the stadium, while the existing training field will be transformed into a warm-up area with community facilities and landscaping.

The redeveloped stadium aims to enhance the fan experience by redesigning steeper grandstands to maximise seating, ensuring fans are as close to the action as possible with better sightlines to the field or stage. The ground capacity will be increased to around 25,000.

The training field to the west of the stadium will be remodelled to provide additional open spaces and multipurpose courts. Landscaping will be improved for multi-purpose, outdoor community use.

The number of wheelchair-accessible seats will be increased by around 500%, and wheelchair-accessible toilets will see an 85% increase to cater to a diverse range of fans. More food and beverage outlets and amenities will be added to improve service speed. New scoreboards, sound systems, ribbon boards, and upgraded lighting will be installed. Security will be enhanced with new entries and turnstiles. Player facilities for both men's and women's sports teams will be upgraded. The stadium will also create a family-friendly atmosphere that preserves the north and south hills.
