Clarence Valley Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified consultants to prepare a Market Feasibility Analysis and high-level Concept Plan to inform the proposed rezoning of Lot 3 DP 872232, located at 1007 Big River Way, South Grafton, currently zoned RU2 Rural Landscape.
The land is subject to a Joint Venture Forestry Right Agreement (JV) with NSW Forestry Corporation (FCNSW) until 1 November 2037. An options paper prepared by FCNSW in February 2025 presents three scenarios for plantation management, which must be assessed as part of this project. The proposed rezoning is a listed action in Council's 2024/25 Operational Plan under the theme of "Economy - Employment and Education" and is strategically aligned with the North Coast Regional Plan 2041 and the Clarence Valley Employment Lands Strategy 2022.
