Quotes are sought by the Customer in relation to the supply of mobile diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasounds) and reporting services. The supplier will be a mobile service provider that can provide the services to residents of residential aged care facilities (RACFs) in the Gold Coast geographical region.

The Customer is seeking to address risk factors associated with presentation of RACF residents to the Emergency Department and:

Enhancing quality of care by allowing RACF residents to remain in their own environment to obtain imaging services.

Reduction of RAFC resident presentations to GCHHS facilities for imaging services.

Reductions of complications/negative health impacts associated with Emergency Department presentations.

Alleviation of Emergency Department workload pressures associated with RACF residents that typically have complex care needs.

GCHHS believes that the above can be achieved by delivering imaging services to RACF residents in situ.

The Customer has issued this RFQ with the objectives of:

• Identifying new market players;
• engage in dialogue with suppliers of the model of service delivery focussing on quality and value;
• identifying opportunities to reduce presentation to the Emergency Department of the target client cohort to reduce risk factors associated with unrelated hospital admission;
• identify methods and opportunities to manage and deliver the service to ensure genuine referrals for hospital avoidance.
