Port of Melbourne (PoM) is seeking quotations from appropriately qualified and experienced consultants for Port of Melbourne’s Quantity Surveyor (QS) panel. PoM is seeking to engage consultants to participate in a contract for the provision of quantity surveying services to support the delivery of PoM’s capital works portfolio.

The PoM’s current Quantity Surveying panel has come to its completion and PoM is seeking to refresh and enhance its Quantity Surveying panel to ensure it is fit for purpose to support PoM’s capital works portfolio over the next 5+ years.

PoM intends to engage a new panel of prequalified Quantity Surveyors through an open RFQ process. The QS’s will be integral to PoM project teams, providing critical commercial and QS support throughout the planning, design, delivery, and close-out phases of capital projects.

The services will be provided in two parts:

• Part 1 – Preferred Supplier – Cost estimation, management and advisory services for general projects
• Part 2 – Panel of Suppliers – Cost estimation, management and advisory services for specialist projects

General projects are generally small in scale and predominantly upgrades and remediation of existing assets.

Specialist projects are projects that have a level of complexity or specialisation that requires a tailored approach to the delivery of the project or services. This may include alternative procurement approaches or specialised application of construction techniques or a consultant’s unique exposure to same or similar projects.

Respondents can choose to respond to both Part 1 and Part 2 or Part 2 only of the services.

The respondent must submit quotations in accordance with the requirements outlined in this RFQ.

Successful respondents from the RFQ process will be awarded a Master Services Agreement (MSA) for a five-year period with renewals at PoM’s sole discretion.
