Tender Description
MCC owns and operates the Maitland Resource Recovery Facility (MRRF) which provides waste disposal and resource recovery services to the growing population of the Maitland Local Government Area (LGA).
The objective is to engage a suitably qualified service provider to collect metals received at the MRRF and transport the metals to a Recycling Facility.
The Principal has divided the services into four distinct Lots for which tenderers may submit proposals. Lot 1 MRRF Metals is mandatory for all respondents. Optional services Lot 2 Used Lead Acid Batteries (ULAB), Lot 3 electronic waste (e-waste), and Lot 4 additional scrap metal bins for the Principal's Works Depot are to be utilised at the sole discretion of the Principal.

RFT Acknowledgement and Site Visit
Respondents are requested to complete the RFT Acknowledgement Form (refer document titled: 02.20252432 Collection and Purchase of Metals Acknowledgement Form.pdf) and return via email to acknowledge your company will be submitting an RfT submitted no later than 12.00 noon (DEST) Monday 19th May 2025 to sarah.jackson@maitland.nsw.gov.au.
The site visit will take place 10am (DEST) Wednesday 21st May 2025 at the Maitland Resource Recovery Facility, 109 Mount Vincent Road, East Maitland NSW 2323.
The Respondent must populate its RFT by way of completing the questions contained in Request for Proposal Part 2 (refer document titled: 06.20252432 Collection and Purchase of Metals Request for Proposal Part 2.docx) provided within the RFT.
The Respondent must respond in the boxes provided for any text-based answers and expand the space as necessary. MCC prefers responses in each section be limited to less than 500 words. However, where a Respondent wants to attach additional relevant documents, ensure you include a reference to the attachment in the relevant section.
