The Shire of Derby West Kimberley is seeking to engage a suitably qualified contractor for the supply and installation of shade shelters to cover the playgrounds at Madi’s Park, Bloodwood Park, Nicholson Oval and Apex Park.

The SDWK has successfully secured funding support to deliver three projects that aim to enhance and beautify public spaces and increase community participation and engagement.

One of the projects is to provide permanent shade structures over four playgrounds in Derby. The four playgrounds are:

• Lytton Park, 142 Loch Street Derby WA 6728

    o Maximum height of playground equipment 3.4m

• Nicholson Square Playground, 153 Loch Street, Derby WA 6728

    o Max height playground equipment 3.2m

• Madi’s Playground, 8 Coolibah Way, Derby WA 6728

    o Max height of playground equipment 2.8m

• Bloodwood Park, 15 Kurrajong Loop, Derby WA 6728

    o Max height of playground equipment 3.2m

Lytton Park, Nicholson Square Playground and Bloodwood Park have existing shade sail structures whilst Madi’s Playground does not currently have any shade structures or playground equipment, due for installation mid-June.
