This Request for Expressions of Interest has been published by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts on behalf of Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Corporation.

SBS seeks expressions of interest from interested parties for suitable premises in Western Sydney that can support a best-in-class television, digital, and audio production hub of approximately 3,000 sqm. The new hub is proposed to expand SBS’s existing facilities and be a home for more distinctive SBS programming, including news and current affairs, multilingual audio services, and screen content. It is intended to provide local communities with improved access to SBS jobs and education pathways and greater opportunities to connect with Australia’s most trusted news media organisation.

Two technical question-and-answer sessions will be held to provide further information on the technology requirements of the new production hub. These will be held on 13 May 2025 at 2:30 pm and 14 May 2025 at 10:00 am. Register to attend either briefing at sbs.com.au/sbswesternsydney. The briefings will cover the same information, so respondents need only attend one briefing session. Transcripts of both sessions will be made available.

Submissions should be lodged electronically via AusTender by the Closing Time and in accordance with the procedures set out in the Request for Expressions of Interest and on AusTender.
