Corrective Services Industries is conducting an open tender for logistics services, for Courier Services-Chilled Frozen Food Logistics Services-General Freight Services & Specialised Freight Services.

Project goals

These tender aims to identify and contract preferred suppliers for logistics services based on a schedule of rates per service and category, and to ensure flexibility and cost-effectiveness across four key logistics categories:

1. Courier Services – Transportation of cartons, large parcels, and items such as 1 or 3 chairs. Products may vary in size and include small skids or ad hoc dimensions.

2.Chilled/Frozen Foods – Delivery of temperature-controlled product requires costing for 2-14 pallets.

3. General Freight – Includes items such as clothing, pallets with chairs, cleaning products, and similar goods.

4 . Specialised Freight – Handling and transport of machinery, fence panels, and other sensitive or specialised items.

Scope

The scope of this project focuses on the logistics and transportation services for delivering food products, parcels and general freight to various location.s Services by CSI Categories are:

• Courier services
• Chilled frozen food Logistics services
• General freight services
• Specialised freight services

Pickup Locations

• CSI’s Logistic Unit, Francis Greenway Correctional Complex
• Long Bay Correctional Complex
• Elizabeth Bay Police Station
• Surry Hills Police Station

Deliver Locations from various correctional centres, courts, police stations, and other businesses across NSW & interstate.

When transporting food products, the provider must maintain appropriate temperature ranges (-18°C to 4°C) in compliance with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015

Providing evidence of compliance with NSW Food Authority standards and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles and relevant NSW Food Authority Legislation, which may include, but not limited to, the following regulations or subsequent amendments:

• Food Act 2003 NSW
• Food Regulation 2015 NSW
• Clause 12 General Requirements, Public Health Act 2010 NSW
• NSW Food Authority Guidelines for Food Services to Vulnerable Persons
• Food Standards Australia New Zealand FSANZ
• Australian Standard for the Hygienic Production and Transportation of Meat and Meat Products for Human Consumption AS 4696:2007

Providers must adhere to the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation to ensure safe and compliant transport operations and compliance with WHS regulations.
