We're considering the following leasing proposals on Wellington Town Belt and reserve land.

Proposed new leases and lease variations

Miramar Rangers Association Football Club – David Farrington Park (reserve land)

• Leased area: Approximately 251² of David Farrington Park, legally described as part Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 8458
• Lease fee: Annual rent fee $888.79 plus GST per annum
• Lease term: Ten years, with one renewal term of ten years

Wellington Region Hockey Stadium Trust – Mount Albert Park (Wellington Town Belt land)

• Sublease 1: A caterer to manage food and beverage services for Wellington Hockey
• Sublease 2: A pro hockey shop located on-site
• Both subleases are ancillary to hockey activities and will support hockey operations
• Lease term: Four years, with one right of renewal of ten years

Pōneke Kyokushin Karate Dojo Incorporated - Prince of Wales Park (Wellington Town Belt land)

• New Leased area: Approximately 338² at Prince of Wales Park, Wellington Town Belt land, legally described as Part Lot 2 DP 10337
• Lease fee: Annual Rent Fee $502.48 plus GST per annum
• Lease term: Five years, with one renewal term of five years

Victoria University of Wellington - 268 Ohariu Valley Road (managed as reserve land)

• Proposal to vary the existing lease area to include additional land area: approximately 13.35 hectares for planting and growing Indigenous Forest Species
• Land is managed as reserve and legally described as Part Lot 1 DP 508648
• Lease term: Remains unchanged lease commenced 1 July 2021, for 32 years and 364 days
