Tender Description

This Tender is invited by the Issuer.

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) requires a Strategic Adviser to evaluate and lead strategic initiatives to support National Criminal Intelligence System (NCIS) change management and benefits realisation. The Strategic Adviser will work closely with the National Manager NCIS.

The seller specified personnel will be required to:

  • prepare and coordinate strategic, accurate, insightful and timely advice on diverse and complex policy planning and operational matters to support executive decision making
  • review proposals, briefs and reports, ensuring issues and risks impacting the ACIC are actively identified and managed, and to propose recommendations and responses for the consideration of the NCIS executive
  • collaborate and work closely with teams across the ACIC to share information, seek input and provide advice on behalf of the National Manager NCIS
  • manage change and benefit strategic initiatives on behalf of the National Manager NCIS
  • develop and/or update business cases, including costings for large and complex ICT projects
  • design and implement strategies to support both program plans, and the maintenance of operational and business as usual services
  • demonstrate initiative and judgement on how to best achieve required NCIS Program strategic outcomes
  • engage with an extensive array of stakeholders including interagency, cross jurisdictional and internal teams within the ACIC to ensure NCIS change and benefits realisation is successful
  • undertake other related tasks as directed

Security Requirements for the role

The ACIC requires specified personnel to:

• Obtain the ACIC’s Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to commencement.

• Have an Australian Government security clearance (AGSVA) to the minimum of Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) or be willing to undergo and obtain and AGSVA NV1 clearance.

• As directed by the ACIC, complete a Deed of Confidentiality or Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to commencement or comply with processes required to engage the Specified Personnel under section 48 of the Australian Crime Commission Act (2002).

Note: Seller may be required to meet the cost of any security clearances.
