Tender Description
The City of Canning (The City) maintains extensive natural areas, parklands, sports fields, gardens, and streetscapes. To manage pest and weed control efficiently, the City requires a reliable and efficient service for the supply and application of a range of products as part of its pest and weed management program.
The City of Canning is seeking interested tenderers for the supply and application of herbicides, pesticides and fungicides in turf, road reserves, firebreaks and garden beds and the supply and application of herbicides to treat environmental weeds in natural area reserves including, but not limited to, winter grasses, spring bulbs, corms and tubers, woody weeds and annual herbaceous weeds as well as non-chemical based control methods including steam.
The areas are separated into 4 categories, noting this request in ONLY for Category B:
- Category A Streetscapes, Road Reserve (medians, verges, kerb lines, footpaths, paved traffic islands)
- Category B Parks and Reserves
- Category C Remnant bushland, Wetlands and Natural areas and fire breaks
- Category D non-chemical weed treatment option
The City reserves the right to award to either a sole contract or multiple contracts to ensure best value for money.
The proposed Contract shall be in force for a period of two (2) years from the date of contract award, with a Principal instigated option to extend the contract for a one (1) year period and up to a further twelve (12) months; to a maximum of four (4) years.
The Contract is expected to commence in June/July 2025.

All electronic submission files shall be clearly named with the City's Tender Number as stated above and the Tenderer's Name, and lodged by the specified time and date.
Any Respondent found to have canvassed City of Canning officers or elected members will be disqualified from the tender process.
NO late, telephoned, faxed or mailed, electronically mailed or hand-delivered tenders will be accepted
