Safe Systems Traffic Environment Data Collection System
Tender ID: 584604
Tender Details
Tender Description
Isaac Regional Council (IRC) is home to the Galilee and Bowen Basins, an area critical to the State and National economy through the provision of metallurgical and thermal coal. While there is economic benefit for the greater region, the resource industry development does come with a cumulative impact for IRC’s road network. The cumulative impact of these resource projects is largely unknown; however, it is anticipated that some projects will have a greater or lesser impact than initially anticipated by the resource proponent.
IRC anticipates that the Safe Systems Traffic Environment Data Collection System will use a combination of automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras and other appropriate technologies (such as in pavement sensors) to determine the cumulative vehicle impacts using the Austroads vehicle classifications that a specific resource proponent has on a specific resource impacted road and road network.
IRC invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified respondents for shortlisting.
This is described in more detail in Part 5 – Scope.
Council will hold an optional site meeting via team 12pm 21 May 2025. Tenderers must RSVP to attend, see documentation for further details.
Kind regards Isaac Regional Council
