Tender Description
Shoalhaven City Council (Council) invites tenders for a consultancy with expertise in coastal engineering, coastal processes modelling, as well as geotechnical data collection and analysis to carry out coastal hazard investigations to inform the project Callala Bay and Currarong Coastal Hazard Management Investigations in accordance with this Request for Tender (RFT).
This project has been derived from management actions within the certified and gazetted Shoalhaven Open Coast and Jervis Bay Coastal Management Program (CMP), specifically the following:
- CL.01: Callala Bay Coastal Processes and Hazard Definition Study and Management Option Investigation,
- CR.01: Shoreline erosion protection structure at Beecroft Parade - Undertake investigations, detailed design, and approvals
- CR.02: Investigate and finalise options to manage long-term coastal hazard risk at Currarong Beach
- CL.04A: Sailing School Coastal Protection Works - Stage 1:Design and Approvals
Council is seeking to procure consultancy services to undertake a staged investigation into suitable coastal management solutions for each location that involves a coastal processes and hazard assessment (including through the use of numerical modelling), geotechnical site assessment, and management options assessment. This project will build upon an extensive body of work developed historically for both locations, as well as the risk assessment and management action evaluation undertaken during Stages 2 and 3 of the CMP development.

This tender will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act 1993, the Local Government (General) Regulations 2021, and the Division of Local Government Tendering Guidelines.
