Tree & Vegetation Management for Rio Tinto Weipa Operations

⁠⁠⁠Scope of Work:

Rio Tinto Aluminium (The Company) operates 3 mining sites and associated infrastructure in the vicinity of Weipa, a remote town in Cape York Queensland. Additionally, operation and administration of the majority of the civil infrastructure within the Weipa town boundaries falls to RTA via it’s subsidiary Weipa Town Authority (WTA). The Company requires a provider to perform tree and vegetation management across its operations and locations.

The required services include tree trimming, tree lopping, stump grinding and/or removal, coconut palm de-nutting, high voltage (HV) line corridor clearing, fibre cable corridor clearing, road verge slashing and general vegetation management such as land clearing and poisoning at various locations including tailings dam, water treatment facilities and communications towers.

As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, suppliers will be notified of any changes prior to award.

Your EOI response may be referenced or re-used in the next six months if a similar scope of work is required by Rio Tinto.
