LAQ is looking for an experience building contractor to undertake minor fit-out works at Legal Aid Queensland. The LAQ Brisbane office is located at 44 Herschel Street, with LAQ owner/occupying the entire building. A number of floors have been renovated at this location in the past, the current area; however, has seen no major works for a significant period of time. The space on Level 3 will see the below items addressed as part of the proposed works:

• 2 x Offices

• 6 x Workstations

• 1 x Quiet Room

• Acoustic works for the proposed area and adjoining offices

• Storage

• TOTAL WORK POINTS – 7

LAQ has already engaged the services of specialist contractors to support the works such as:

• Cox Architecture – Lead Architect

• Interior Engineering – Lead Engineer

• Acorpp – Project and Building Owner Support Services

• Knisco – Certification Services

• Eastlands Electrical and Communications – Electrical Sub-Contractor

• Immediate Glass – Glaziers.

Briefing Session

LAQ will hold a briefing session at 10.30am Thursday, 8 May 2025.

An inspection of level 3 will be conducted initially followed by a briefing session in the LAQ Auditoriums, Ground Floor, 44 Herschel Street, Brisbane.

It is mandatory for suppliers to attend the briefing session in order to submit a valid offer.

Tenderers are strictly required to email laq.procurementteam@legalaid.qld.gov.au to book in their attendance by 2.00pm on Tuesday, 6 May 2025.

The maximum number of attendees per company is four (this allows for estimator and three trades). Questions will be permitted during the briefing session.

Companies who do not attend Briefing Session will not meet our mandatory requirements and their proposals will not be evaluated.
