Project goals

The Services to be supplied or performed in accordance with the Proposed Contract is to secure the provision of high quality supplemental linen laundry services to the NSW Health system over the next five (5) years years that achieves value for money, ensuring continuity of linen services as demand grows (population growth, new/expanding hospital sites) and to ensure service continuity in the event of unplanned downtime due to equipment, logistics or human resources and during emergency or surge events

Scope

The proposed agreement may result in contracts being awarded to multiple suppliers to enhance flexibility and resilience across NSW Health’s wide geographic footprint, supporting a robust and uninterrupted linen laundry service.

a. Secure reliable business partners to deliver high-quality linen services over five years, ensuring continuity and value for money.

b. Maintain seamless linen supply to hospital sites under challenging conditions, supporting effective healthcare delivery.

c. Potential outcomes include:

     1. Allocation of one or more hospital sites to successful respondent(s), with a minimum volume commitment to ensure service continuity.

     2. Alternatively, respondent(s) may be appointed to a preapproved panel, with services engaged on an as-needed basis to maintain supply reliability. d. Ensure flexibility and scalability, enabling respondent(s) to quickly increase capacity during emergency or surge events within designated areas, without compromising quality or service standards.
