A Registration of Interest (ROI) is invited from suitably experienced contractors (Applicants) interested in being short-listed as prospective Applicants for the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase of the Mill Road – Redoubt Road: SH1 Interchange to Hilltop Road project (Mill Road Package 1).

This ECI Contractor procurement is part of a series of key procurement activities for delivery of Mill Road Stage 1.

The Project Works are likely to comprise the following:

• Utilities relocations.

• Road widening of existing highway.

• Upgraded and new intersections.

• Signal upgrades and new signalisation of existing intersections.

• Retaining walls.

• New footpaths and shared paths, and off-road active mode corridors.

• Introduction of bus lanes.

Only tenderers pre-qualified under the terms of the Transport Agency’s Prequalification System are eligible to submit a tender.

In accordance with the Pre-qualification for Physical Works, this contract has been classified as requiring BOTH of the following classification levels:

• Bridge and Structure Construction 3A including the following sub-categories:

-Small retaining walls

• Construction 4A including the following sub-categories:

-Pavements

-Drainage

-Earthworks

Applicants are reminded that under the terms of NZTA’s Prequalification System, only those prequalified to “Bridge and Structure Construction - Level A” and “Construction – Level A”, are eligible to submit an ROI submission.

Access to project documents: Project documents listed in Appendix F will be provided to Tenderers in a data room. Access to the data room will be provided at NZTA’s discretion following completion and return of the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) included with this ROI.   Tenderers should complete the NDA and return via the tender secretary at Tender@nzta.govt.nz as soon as possible.
